Thank you to all our gleaning volunteers from Hythe Environmental Community Group and our own team from Deal -Renate, Sally, Jill, Elaine G, Andrew, Elaine M, Lucy and Steve.
Two gleans today a cabbage glean for FareShare Kent of 80 crates plus another 60 crates/bags for local food charities in shepway, Dover and Thanet districts. A big thanks to farmer Geoff Philpott for hosting us.
We also managed to do a earlier potato
glean in Preston. With thanks to Farmer Trevor and Steve Bradley for their supportA total haul for our group today of over 800 kilos and for the total effort about 1.6 tons
