The future of the household waste and recycling centres service provided by Kent County Council is under review.
The KCC says it wants to identify the "right level" of the waste tip service at the "right cost" so it is fit for purpose and for the future. Before any decisions are made, the council is carrying out a public consultation so everyone in Kent has an opportunity to contribute to the process.
One suggestion is that the Deal and Margate waste tips are underused and that the current Richborough tip might be closed to boost their use. For details and the survey form, see http://www.kent.gov.uk/environment_and_planning/recycling_and_rubbish/ways_to_recycle/waste_and_recycling_centres/hwrc_consultation.aspx .
The consultation will close on Thursday, 9 February.
Thank you Harold for the posting
