Sandown Castle Beach Clean Sunday 19th April 2026

Thank you to our 30 volunteers on todays beach clean at the Sandown Castle Community Garden Deal Kent end of the beach.

About 15kilos collected of mainly small plastic ..lots of fishing line, tops of coffee cups and the usual 12 cans of cheap lager.

Our next beach clean is on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May at 10am meeting on the prom at Walmer Castle car parks

Sandown Castle Beach Clean 19th April 10am

 

 Thank you to our 48 volunteers on today's Walmer Beach Clean, which was our contribution to #GBSpringClean

The beach was generally in a good condition about 35 kilos collected today.

Thanks to the set-up DWI team and to Dover District Council for picking up our bags promptly at the end.

Our next clean will be on Sunday April 17th at 10am at Sandown Castle Community Garden Deal Kent end of the beach.

There is a litter pick on Tuesday 24th 10am to 12 at Victoria Park #PickDealClean

Thank you to our 20 volunteers on todays community beach clean at Deal Pier.

The weather was relatively dry! Not much large stuff today but lots of fishing twine, small plastic and one errant golf ball.

Our next one is on Walmer on 22nd March at 10am meet at the Sea Cafe Walmer Green

This will be part of the national #GreatBritishSpringClean event ... there will be other cleans locally that week

We found a wallet with a driving license near the Pier

(handed into the pier office)

Xmas Beach Clean Walmer 14th Dec 2025

 

Thank you to our 45 volunteers on today's Xmas Walmer Beach Clean.

We collected some 9 large bags of rubbish of the beach today.

Some great xmas hats were on display, mince pies consumed etc

Our next community beach clean is on Thursday New Years Day, 1st January 2026 at 10am meeting at Deal Pier

Thank you to our 25 volunteers on todays Sandown Castle Beach Clean; we managed to collected over 20kilos of rubbish today just before the rain landed - a lot of cheap lager cans in the rocks and loads of dog poo bags!

Thanks to our colleagues at Sandown Castle Community Garden Deal Kent for keeping this end of our beach so special.

#GreatBritishSpring Clean - Walmer Beach Clean 23rd March 2025

A damp morning for the #GreatBritishSpringClean in Walmer this Sunday – Thank you to the 22 volunteers out on the Deal With It ‘Walmer Beach Clean’.

In just over an hour the volunteers collected about 15kgs of rubbish – mostly small pieces of plastic

The group organises monthly cleans of the beach on three mile stretch of the Kent coast at Deal & Walmer (with different start points).

The next one will be on Sunday 20th April 10am meeting at Sandown Castle Community Garden - equipment supplied

Well 1st beach clean of 2025 was a blast today... despite the conditions we had some 24 volunteers today and collected over 50kilos of rubbish off the beach.

We also found some Keys .. (please DM if they are yours)
